Living here in the Florida Panhandle, we definitely aren't short on sunshine, but sometimes finding something fun for the kids that doesn't cost an arm and a leg can be a challenge!
And while we all love our beautiful beaches, sometimes you just want somewhere the kids can run, play, and burn off some of that never-ending energy!
That's where Frank Brown Park in Panama City Beach comes in!
If you haven't taken the kids lately, you're missing out on a fun little spot!
My kids range in age from 8 to 13, and let me tell you, finding something they ALL enjoy isn't always easy. But this is one park they all love!
Big Blocks, Even Bigger Imaginations!
One of their favorite things is the giant building blocks! Seriously, who knew something so simple could keep kids entertained for so long?
They build forts, towers, houses, and whatever else their imaginations come up with. I love watching them work together, tear things down, and start all over again.
It's one of those things that reminds you kids really don't need all the fancy stuff to have a good time!
And yes, even my 13-year-old gets in on the fun!
A Little Sunshine and That Gulf Breeze
And can we talk about that beautiful Panama City Beach weather?
We all know how HOT it can get around here, especially during those Florida afternoons, but there's nothing quite like catching a nice Gulf breeze while the kids play.
Sometimes it's just nice to get out of the house, soak up a little sunshine, and let everyone enjoy being outside.
If you feel like stretching your legs, you can also take the family for a walk along the trails. It's a great way to slow down, get some fresh air, and enjoy a little time together away from the screens and everyday craziness.

The Best Part? It's FREE!
With five kids, I'm always looking for ways to get everyone out of the house without spending a small fortune!
Pack some drinks, throw a few snacks in a bag, don't forget the sunscreen, and you've got yourself a pretty great afternoon.
No tickets, no big plans, just a little fresh air and some good old-fashioned fun.
Sometimes those simple afternoons turn into the best memories.
