Fall Festival Season Is Here!

By Serita Scanlan September 17, 2026

The pumpkins are coming out, the hay bales are being stacked, and somewhere in Florida a child is wearing flannel while sweating because somebody said it was officially fall.

Fall festival season is here!

Even if the weather doesn’t exactly feel like fall, festivals are one of the best parts of the season. There’s just something about walking through local vendors, grabbing a funnel cake, letting the kids play games, and pretending for a few hours that Florida has crisp autumn weather.

Every festival is a little different, but you might find pumpkin patches, hayrides, face painting, carnival games, petting zoos, live music, local vendors, seasonal treats, and plenty of fair food.

A few tips before you go:

Dress for the actual Florida weather, not the season on the calendar. Comfortable shoes, water, sunscreen, and bug spray can go a long way.

Set a spending budget before you arrive. A snack here, a game there, and one “Can I please get this?” can add up quickly.

Most importantly, slow down and enjoy it.

Take the pumpkin picture. Ride the hayride. Buy the treat. Let the kids play the silly game.

These little traditions become childhood memories faster than we realize.

Fall Festival Family Challenge

See if your family can find:

The biggest pumpkin

A tractor

One farm animal

Something handmade

A fall-flavored snack

The perfect family photo spot

And for the real challenge, try to get one picture where everyone is looking at the camera at the same time.

Good luck.

Happy fall, Florida!
